From the University of Houston-Downtown and the University of Houston-Main Campus, I have earned a B.S. in Psychology, as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work, respectively. In addition, I have a Certificate in Gerontology. For over 11 years, I have worked in the field of Social Services and I am therefore aware of and sensitive to the social constructs that have negatively impacted the mental health of many individuals. Over the last 4 years, I have worked as a Behavioral Health Clinician, in correctional and forensic settings, as well as inpatient behavioral health settings. My strengths include my compassion for helping others, active listening skills, flexibility, humor, and my necessary obligation to be nonjudgmental and positive. Moreover, I utilize critical thinking and creativity in assisting my clients to find attainable resolves to their respective issues. I am grateful for being afforded the gift of helping others.
